Measuring Windows and Doors for a Quotation?
To assist in measuring pre-existing windows and doors, you will need to measure the inside section of the timber reveals. Please provide measurements in millimetres. The height (vertical) is the first measurement, followed by the width (horizontal). Please have these dimensions ready to be provided should you ring or enquire via email. To Measure Width: Measure between the reveals at three points: top, middle and bottom of the window opening. Measure from the surface of the reveals, not from the trim strips or parting beads in your old window opening. Use the smallest of these three measurements to obtain the width. To Measure Height: Measure from the high point of the sill of your window (the surface closest to the inside of the window) to the top of the window reveal. Make three measurements: one at the left side, one at the center and one at the right side of the window. Use the smallest of these three height measurements to obtain the height NOTE: The dimensions you provide are used only for INSTALLATION quotation purposes. Pricing may vary if your dimensions are inaccurate. For installation services, an onsite check measure will occur before your job is fabricated. View the video below courtesy of an American Company ‘Pella’ who has done the hard work for us in explaining how to measure your products at home. Please Note: Absolutely!!!! WE DO COMPLETE OUR OWN CHECK MEASURE IF YOU ARE PROCEEDING WITH AN INSTALLATION. (We just ask you to give us a guide initially so we can provide a FREE QUOTATION). Abbey Aluminium does not take any responsibility for SUPPLY ONLY Measurements.
